A sleeker TD Pilot has landed

TD Pilot is now sleeker, easier to use and more reliable than ever. 

Now launched globally, the iOS-based speech generating device now features an all-black design, clearly-coloured buttons, and a centered front-facing camera. 

These improvements stemmed from the continuous feedback we gather from the communicators, speech therapists, and care teams who understand best how the device functions in daily life. 

Who is TD Pilot for? 

TD Pilot enables people with conditions such as MND, cerebral palsy and spinal cord injury to communicate and connect with the world by controlling familiar apps and tools with just their eyes. 

Now with refined hardware and software, TD Pilot offers a more seamless setup and daily experience, helping communicators and their care teams focus on communication rather than technology.

We apply these perspectives to make meaningful improvements to our technology over time, with the goal of making eye gaze communication more intuitive, reliable, and accessible. 

What is included in the improvements? 

The TD Pilot launch brings refinements focused on usability, clarity, and day-to-day reliability, including: 

• USB-C charging, the same as on TD Navio, with improved internal charging behaviour, ensuring both the TD Pilot and iPad batteries charge simultaneously
• Updated all-black design for a more cohesive and modern look  
• Clearly coloured and easier-to-identify buttons for improved usability  
• Centered front-facing camera that supports easier set-up and everyday functions such as Face ID 
• Clear device name visibility for faster identification and support  
• Labeled covers to simplify charging and port identification
