Boardmaker 7 Required Update

On Thursday, March 2, we released version 7.2.5 of the Boardmaker 7 Editor and Boardmaker 7 Student Center. This is a REQUIRED update for all users. Here is important information about this update.  

What is it? 

• A mandatory update to the Boardmaker 7 Editor and Boardmaker 7 Student Center. 

 

Why is it important?  

• In April, Tobii Dynavox will be releasing an update to the Tobii Dynavox login system. These services manage customer logins across all Tobii Dynavox apps and services. As part of this update, the Boardmaker 7 Editor and Boardmaker 7 Student Center apps have been updated to be compatible with these changes. Customers must update to the latest version of these apps before the login system update that is coming in April. Anyone who has NOT updated their apps before the login system update will not be able to log in to the Boardmaker 7 Editor or Boardmaker 7 Student Center until after they update. 

 

Who is it for?  

• All Boardmaker 7 Personal subscription, Professional subscription, Organization subscription and Standard License users on all platforms: Windows, Mac, Chromebook and iOS. 

 

When will it be available?  

• The update for Boardmaker 7 Editor and Boardmaker 7 Student Center was released on Thursday, March 2. Customers are encouraged to update at their earliest convenience but NO LATER THAN April 7, 2023. The update to the Tobii Dynavox login system will occur in April. 

 

How do I get the update? 

• Boardmaker 7 Editor 

• Windows & Mac 
  
  Users running Editor version 7.1.0 or later (with TD Updater) will see a notification inside of the Editor that an update is available.  

  - IT departments that have turned off the auto-check/auto-download options will not receive this prompt and users will need to manually check for updates from the menu in Boardmaker 7 Editor. 
  
  - IT departments that blocked updates or that have installed Boardmaker 7 Editor without the TD Updater will need to download the update from the myBoardmaker download center and deploy it to their users. 

• Windows and Mac users running version 7.0.4 or older will need to download the installer from the myBoardmaker Downloads page. Once downloaded, simply run the installer to get the update. There is no need to uninstall the previous version. 

• Chromebook 
   - Users will receive the update through the Google Play Store. 

• Boardmaker 7 Student Center 

• Windows & Mac 
   - Download the installer from the myBoardmaker Downloads page. Once downloaded, simply run the installer to get the update. There is no     need to uninstall the previous version. 

• iOS 
   - Users will receive the update through the App Store. 

• Chromebook 
  - Users will receive the update through the Google Play Store.
