Opening activity files in Boardmaker Software v6

There are 4 different files that can be downloaded from the Boardmaker Online Community. This tutorial demonstrates how to open and use the activity or board files in Boardmaker Software v6, Boardmaker Plus v6, and Boardmaker SDPro v6.

NOTE: You must first download your activity or board before opening in your Boardmaker v. 6 software.
To make them easy to find, download files to your desktop.

Opening .bm2 Activity Files  

• Double click on the desired .bm2 file to open in your Boardmaker v6 Software.

Opening .zip and .zbp Files

NOTE: Boardmaker version 6.1.3 and higher includes an Import function that will automatically extract the .zip and .zbp files you have downloaded.

• Open Boardmaker on your computer.
• Select File.
• Select Import.
• Select Board Package.

 

• Browse on your computer and select the .zip or .zbp file you want to access.
• Select Open.
• Select the location where the imported boards will be saved.

NOTE: The default location is the My Boards folder (Documents) on your computer.


If there are multiple boards included in your .zip or .zbp file, you may want to double click on the first board or one that is labeled Main page or page 1.

• Select OK.
• Select File.
• Select Open.
• Select Open a Saved Board or Add-on.
• Locate the folder or boards with the activity name in the My Boards folder.
