Why don't my overlays with barcodes 13 and above work?

INCREASING THE CARD COUNT

Your L*E*O shipped configured for 12 overlays. Since adding overlays results in less time being allocated for each recording, we decided that 12 cards represents a nice middle ground between lots of overlays and lots of recording time. If you want to increase the number of overlays you can use with your L*E*O (or, conversely, if you'd like to reduce the number of overlays so your recordings can be longer), the process is easy enough with the L*E*O software.

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING PROCESS WILL ERASE ALL OF THE RECORDINGS ON YOUR LEO. MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP ANY RECORDINGS BEFORE YOUR CONTINUE.

With the L*E*O software running and the L*E*O plugged in, go to the Setup menu and click on Message Setup. In the dialog box that opens you will see a slider marked # Cards. By moving the slider, you can configure your L*E*O for 4, 8, 12, 16 or 20 cards. You can also change the recording quality, which will affect the amount of recording time allocated for each cell. As you move the slider or change the recording quality, the box marked Message Time will display the recording time allocated for each cell.

(Astute readers may notice that the L*E*O ships with a sheet of labels numbered 1 through 28, but that the Message Setup dialog only lets you configure your L*E*O for up to 20 cards. The simple explanation is that we originally intended for the LEO to be able to use more cards, but that when the card count got past 20 the recording time was so short as to be impractical. If you print your own labels from the L*E*O software (File -> Print Card ID...), then your label sheets won't have all those extra barcodes.)
