Creating a Local Account in Microsoft OOBE(out of box experience)

Windows 10 IoT (TD I-Series)
  1. Connect the device to the charger and power the device on.
  2. The device will start to the Microsoft Out Of Box Experience and prompt to select a language first. Select the appropriate language from the list and select Yes to continue.
  3. Select the appropriate Region from the list and select Yes to continue.
  4. Make sure that the appropriate Keyboard Layout is selected, then select Yes to continue.
  5. If a secondary Keyboard Layout is not needed, select Skip to continue. 
  6. Select the Wireless Network to connect to and enter the password if required 
  7. Once a successful connection has been made, select Next to continue.
  8. Select Accept to the License Agreement. 
  9. The option to sign into a Microsoft Account will display on the screen. In the bottom left corner, select Domain join instead.
  10. Enter a name for the Local User Account and select Next to continue. 
  11. If a password is desired, enter the password and select Next to continue and follow the remaining steps to finish setting up the account password. If desired, the password field can be left blank to not require a password at log in. Select Next to continue. 
  12. Select Accept to the Privacy Settings.
  13. The device will continue the Microsoft OOBE set up and will automatically restart once complete. The Tobii Dynavox Configuration Manager will automatically open. Follow the prompts for the Configuration Manager to finish the device set up. 
Windows 11 (TD I-110)
  1. Connect the device to the charger and power the device on.
  2. The device will start to the Microsoft OOBF and prompt to select a language first. Select the appropriate language from the list and select Yesto continue.
  3. Select the appropriate Region from the list and select Yes to continue.
  4. Make sure that the appropriate Keyboard Layout is selected, then select Yes to continue.
  5. If a secondary Keyboard Layout is not needed, select Skip to continue. 
  6. Select the Wireless Network to connect to and enter the password if required 
  7. Once a successful connection has been made, select Next to continue.
  8. Windows will check for updates. Once completed, select Accept to the License Agreement.
  9. An option to name the device will be available, select Skip for now.
  10. Two options will show to create the user account. Select Set up for work or school and select Next to continue.
  11. A prompt to sign into a Microsoft Account will show. Select the blue text for Sign-in options.
  12. Select Domain join instead.
  13. Enter a name for the Local User Account and select Next to continue.
  14. If a password is desired, enter the password and select Next to continue and follow the remaining steps to finish setting up the account password. If desired, the password field can be left blank to not require a password at log in. Select Next to continue.
  15. Select Next twice and then Accept to the Privacy Settings.
  16. The device will continue the Microsoft OOBE set up and will automatically restart once complete. The Tobii Dynavox Configuration Manager will automatically open. Follow the prompts for the Configuration Manager to finish the device set up.
