How can I get eye tracking working again after updating my I-13 / I-16 when the eye tracking lights are out?

This issue pertains to an issue first noticed around 12/7/2020 regarding an update to the Tobii Experience Software for Windows (I-Series) 4.70.  

In order to get eye tracking back, until an update to the software is released, please follow the steps below.

  1. In Windows Settings / Apps, uninstall Tobii Experience Software for Windows (I-Series). 
  2. Open File Manager and navigate to %appdata%\Tobii Dynavox\Update Notifier\Downloads and delete the Tobii Experience Software For Windows (I-Series) folder.
  3. Reboot.
  4. Download the Tobii I-Series Offline Installer from https://download.mytobiidynavox.com/Tobii%20Device%20Drivers/software/Tobii.I-Series.Offline.Installer_4.70.0.7919.msi
  5. Install Tobii.I-Series.Offline.Installer_4.70.0.7919.msi.
Eye tracking should now be available.
